I hear Stryker crying and it sounds muffled. I start looking for him and can't find him anywhere. I'm looking everywhere. Then I realize he climbed into the lazy susan, and turned it around and was now trapped in the back of it. It took me about 5min to get him out, he was screaming and crying, but as soon as I got him out he kept trying to get back in. Crazy kid.

I can't even begin to express how I feel. I don't think any words would do it justice. This year Christmas was donated to us anonymously by another family. What a blessing it was. I couldn't say thank you enough. Our only hope is that someday we get to be on the other end. And I feel so grateful that we got to be the benefactors of a true Christlike Family. When I heard that someone was going to donate Christmas instantly I heard the scripture in my head that says, "and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." This is a year I won't forget.

Stryker is such a Momma's Boy, he is litterally attatched to me all the time. He's rolling over and finally learning to sit up on his own. He is such a happy baby. I love these days when all I do is get to enjoy them. I know it won't last long and I don't want it to end.

Another "Oh Katie Moment"

The other morning Adam decided he was going to go hiking. I had planned a fun kids at the park play date/picnic. Katie had to choose between picnic and hike. She thought she had told her dad she wanted to go on the hike. There was a miscommunication to say the least. So for the next 2 hours I listened to her call him over and over again, when he stopped answering the phone, she started leaving nasty messages. So I banned her from the phone. She taped it up, so Dad couldn't call her back. Then I listened to her cry and moan, she even made up moaning songs about how mad she was. It was misserable. Finally it was time for the park and by the time we got there she had forgotten all about the hike. Oh what a morning that was.

Maybe someday Katie will be a photographer. She likes to take random pictures of things. Funny Girl. The other day Katie made a list of chores I had to do and then helped me do them. She started with washing all my pots and pans, bless her heart. The next day when I went upstairs to get Stryker, Gunner took off his diaper and started to poop on the carpet. Katie seeing this, ran over and got Gunner, put him on the toilet to let him finish pooping, wiped his buns and then started to clean up the poop on the carpet. Thank you God, for sending her to me, I love that little girl.

Big Boy Gunner

Since Gunner learned how to climb out of his crib, he graduated himself to a Big Boy Bed. Which is great until 5:30am when he comes bouncing into our room, "HI!" He also recently has been very curious about "potty's" so he's been going potty on the toilet. If he really potty trains this early, I will be so surprised and grateful. Although he is so difficult right now he is also really fun. He is singing the words to "Wheels on the bus, Twinkle twinkle, If you're happy and you know it, and Baby Mine" He's learned, "Don't, Food, Cold, Hot, Please, Sorry" He knows a lot of animal sounds and loves dogs and trucks. His favorite game is when his sisters play puppies with him.

What's the easiest way to end a fight? It Happened! Maddi finally lost her other front tooth. The kids were in Gunner's room playing and I could hear them over the baby monitor. Suddenly playing turned into fighting. I heard... "I'm going to throw pasta in your face, oh ya well I'm going to punch you in your face... " then I hear rumbling and..."My tooth, my tooth... I gotta show mom." Katie kicked Maddi right in the face and knocked out her other front tooth. Funny since her last tooth got knocked out by Gunner.

A Day in the Life of Luxary

12:30am-Stryker is Fussing, he can’t breathe. I stack my pillows up and lay him on my chest so he can sleep upright and hopefully drain his sinuses. Eventually I get a kink in my neck that will last me all day. Notice the office light is still on… Adam is still playing Mafia Wars.

2:34am- Woke to Stryker Crying, fed him and put him back to sleep. A Few minutes later woke to him crying again. He leaked out of his diaper. Ever since they put me on stool softeners and fiber laxatives to help with the tearing caused during delivery, Stryker has been a little watery. This might be TMI! Tiptoed into Gunner’s room and got a change of clothes for Stryker. Dimmed the lights in our room so I didn’t wake up Adam who is sleeping in the LaZBoy, I bet he is tired from all that Mafia Wars he swears he isn’t addicted to. Find Katie sleeping in his spot. Along with her 14 stuffed animal friends who are soaking wet from the earlier “Budey Shop” she and her sister started. Thank You Barbara Park and Junie B Jones for getting them on that track again. At least no one lost their hair this time.

3:12am-Finally Back Asleep

4:54am-Stryker is fussing again, his cough is sounding more croupy. Guess I will make an apt. to see the Dr. today. Check the clock, if I hurry I can get in a good solid hour of sleep.

6:29-Hit the snooze on the alarm… do I really have to get up…..

6:39 The alarm goes off again… fine I’ll get up! Drag myself to the bathroom, find myself day dreaming on the toilet when my legs start to go numb. OK I should get up now. Go get Maddi out of bed, help her find clothes and ask her what she wants for breakfast. Gunner is awake, take him downstairs and find him half the banana from last night on the counter, bet he’ll eat that, or at least pick at it in his highchair long enough to keep him from screaming while I make Maddi her lunch, Turkey sandwich, String Cheese, Capri Sun, Jello, Zebra Cakes and some popcorn. Whatever she doesn’t eat at lunch she can eat in the car as an after school snack. All the water bottles are dirty, wash and fill up with water, put in freezer and start looking for her shoes. She has at least 4 pairs that she can wear to school, can’t find any that match. Call Maddi for breakfast. Do Maddi’s hair. Make a yummy fruit smoothie for us, maybe I can skip the stool softener if I drink enough fruit. Gunner is fussing, get him a bagel. Keep looking for shoes, give up and resort to Sunday shoes.

8:05- Knock, Knock Carpool is here. One down three to go.

8:07- Unload the dishwasher, fill the dishwasher and start it. Change the laundry. Adam comes down and takes out the trash… halleluiah, that thing stank and was spilling out onto the floor. Make Katie some breakfast. Get Gunner down and washed up. Make more smoothie’s for Adam and Katie. Take the scraps out to the chicken’s, step in poop. Think about how much I hate the chickens. Let Gunner run around for a few minutes. Come inside and feed and change Stryker.

9:10- Make an apt. for the Dr. Check my g-mail while I’m on hold. No one wrote and no notes on my facebook. Bummer.

9:27- Change the laundry. Adam takes Gunner to run errands. Hooray, maybe I’ll get something done with him gone. Stryker starts fussing again. Change and feed again. While I’m feeding Stryke’s I realize 10 minutes goes by and I don’t even know what they said on tv...am I even watching it? I’m in the zone. He’s settled down for now. Help Katie find clothes and shoes, try to convince her that she can’t wear her Ruby Red Dorothy Shoes to school. Make her some lunch, get her folder together… search for another clean water bottle. Realize the dishwasher is clean and change it out again. Round two for the dishwasher! All ready to go when Stryker pukes all over. Take Stryker to the bathroom and steam it up. I’m sweating like crazy. Maybe I’ll loose some weight. When we get out I check the scale… nope!

11:54- Pack Katie and Stryker into the car. Drop her off and watch her walk up to her classroom. I avoid the dirty looks from the aid, I know you aren’t supposed to sit and watch them walk up, but she’s not making sure she gets to her class, even though that is what she is supposed to be doing. See Maddi on the swings, Maddi walks over to say hello. She checks to make sure the aid isn’t watching. Gives me a quick high five and is back to the swings.

12:15-Adam is home, puts Gunner down for his nap. He mentions that he told his home teaching families that he would bring them cookies tomorrow night, so if I could make some that would be great. Thanks hun! I start the cookies. I’m grateful he was home today, although I wish he were working. Not sure how to pay the bills next month and it would be nice if he were a little more concerned. Changed the laundry out again, start to fold it when Adam puts on a movie, it’s too intense. I forget how I can’t even get off the couch without stepping or tripping over something, Forget about the food on the floor and the mess in the kitchen… and get sucked into the movie. I let Adam finish the cookies. Somewhere in there I fed and changed Stryker… all without taking my eyes off the tv. It’s been a while since I sat down and watched a movie in the middle of the day. It’s all Adam’s fault.

2:39-Movie is over, get up feeling angry that I just wasted the only cleaning time I had today. Make snacks for the kids, Adam picks them up from school while I get Gunner up from his nap and change him. Change Stryker too. Kids are home, I can tell because the volume of the house just went up 40 decibels. Hound them to do their homework. Load the family in the car. Drop Adam and the kids at the mall while I take Stryker to his Dr’s Apt. Just a cough… keep doing what I’m doing.

5:01pm Meet Adam and the kids at the mall. Decide to eat dinner there.

6:30pm- Home at last! Get everyone going on baths. Delegate Family Night to Adam. Great lesson on Moses. Maddi helps with the visual aids while Katie uses her squirt gun to wet down my hair and brush it.

8:39- everyone is in bed and sleeping. Stryker starts crying he barfed in his bed and all over his new clothes. I take him to the bath again, I realize this is the third time I was in the bath today, that I didn’t get to wash myself. Adam changes his bed. I rock him back to sleep.

9:57-Check my e-mail and facebook one more time. Someone asks me how I do it with 4 kids. So I write this little ditty on my day.

11:02pm- Wonder why I am staying up so late when I have to be up again in a few hours to start the day all over again.

Today the Belt on the Vacuume broke and I had to fix it. Gunner wanted to help so bad, he kept taking all my parts and tools away. Finally we got done and then I started vacuuming, and he kept walking in front of it, climbing on top of it, throwing things at it and trying to push it. Instead of getting upset I thought, WHY NOT? Why not let him help out a little. So this is Gunner doing his new chore, shirtless because he got too hot and took it off, typical boy! Side Note- Since the day they were born until present day my girls scream and run as far away as they can get from the vacuume, even when it's not on.
