Swim Lessons

This is the girls at swim lessons. They really learned a lot in the last two weeks. I was so proud of them for being so brave. And these videos I just have to say, isn't technology cool?

The ants go marching one by one...

The Ants go Marching one by one!
Today I found ants in the girls room, so I put ant killer down. But I think they are too little to eat the poison. When I came back two hours later, they had doubled. What to do?

My Sister the Beautician!

This is my sister Maddi. Today I got fruit roll up in my hair and she decided to help me get it out by chopping off my hair with mommy's sissors. Mommy was so happy!
This is me, Katie. And this is my new hair cut.

I know, I'm a little naughty stinker, but so is my sister!
Aren't we funny!

The Kids

Where did she learn this??

Some cute pictures of the girls and my cute nephew Preston.

This is also a good before of what Katie's hair used to look like.

Why Does My Body Hate Me?

Poor Michelle found out today that she now also has gall stones. They will have to be removed after she has the baby, but before she starts chemo therapy. When I talked to her today she was still as cleverly witty and happy as she always is. She did say, "Why does my body hate me?" Poor Michelley, but I am so proud of her. My sister is a modern day hero. She has overcome so many challenges in her life and she accepts each one with wisdom and grace. I have always looked up to my big sister, what an amazing person she really is.

Michelle

Last night Angela and I went to visit Michelle in the hospital. We had so much fun and Michelle was in good spirits. We totally laughed and laughed. She is doing a little bit better. It all seems to be a waiting game right now. Thank you everyone for all your phone calls and love and support. I'll be sure to post anything new as soon as we know.

A Day in PARADISE

Ahh...What to title this post?
Laundry

Laundry

and more..... Laundry.
Last week after I recovered from the flu our laundryroom flooded. I had to pull out the washer and dryer and get it all cleaned up. (Don't I know someone who does flood work?) It took me an hour and a half. I had a little interruption from Katie. She broke her Ducky Toothbrush holder and decided to paste it back together with toothpaste. She also clogged the toilet with an entire roll of toilet paper. (when does school start again?) And of course we have been busy every single day with something or another... and it doesn't end. This week between birthday parties, swim lessons, gymnastics, visiting teaching, family being in town, dinner with the missionaries, presidency meetings, classes, helping people move, work, we seem to be getting nothing accomplished. So the laundry, dishes and everything else is piling up, and I am waring out. Our dishwasher broke and we had to get a new one. After running it 11 times in 4 days..I still haven't caught up on dishes. But it is a nice dishwasher and I feel so lucky to have it! I spent hours washing dishes by hand, and I didn't even make a dent in the pile.

Sunsplash

WHOO HOO!!!
Dad took the girls to Sunsplash again. They loved it! Katie did get a "blooded" nose when she ran into dad's knee going down the slide. But other than that they had a great time. They are so lucky to have such an awesome dad.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! I love you Dad! For Father's Day I took my Dad to breakfast. It's one of my favortie things to do with my dad. Some things I love about my dad...
My dad has a very big laugh, it's not hard to tell when he's having a good time!
When I was little my dad used to rub my feet until he was falling asleep.
My dad has an amazing voice. He can sing better than anyone I've ever heard. He's undiscovered talent!
My dad is one of the hardest workers I know. He doesn't like to quit anything!
My dad likes to rock it, he always drives with the radio cranked and his fingers drumming!
My dad is Santa Clause! Ok not really, but he is always doing something nice for someone else, and most the time he likes to keep it a secret. I always admired him for that.
My dad is the best grandpa! He's always taking the babies for a walk, singing them a song or bouncing a fussy one. Everybody loves Grandpa!
My dad likes to make sure everyone is having a good time.
My dad doesn't complain and he always does his best.
My dad is brilliant! He likes to study and figure things out. He actually enjoys science and numbers.
I love you dad, your the best! Thanks for breakfast it was so fun!

Another Update

They have had Michelle on strict bed rest and it seems to be helping. Baby is still in womb and stable. But they told her they didn't think she would make it another two weeks. So we will just keep praying.

Week in Review

Katie had the stomach flu last week, she barfed on the stairs and I had to clean it up, (in thought cloud, "wait don't I know someone who cleans carpets???") We have been talking about cleaning the stairs, but it's kinda like the plumber who always has a leaky faucet. Getting Adam to do any carpet cleaning around here.... FAT CHANCE! I have been asking for almost a year to get the dryer vent cleaned out also. My sister called and within the hour Adam was over there cleaning her's out. It's still been months. (ok that's a different week) Anyway, so then I caught the nasty flu virus... man it is awful! I've been in bed flat for three days. It's also a good way to drop 7 pounds instantly, so I've discovered. My house is piled high with dishes and laundry that will never get done. Oh and just for fun the dishwasher is broken, Again! The second time since we moved here. And we've already replaced it once. Adam has been my hero the last few days. He took Maddi, Katie and Gunner to the mall. Took the girls to the lake and to Sunsplash. The girls were so excited about that, they have been asking pracitcally every day since last summer when they could go back. Maddi said tonight that her stomach felt like the waves in the wave pool. Hopefully that's it and she isn't coming down with the flu too. Sorry no pictures of me barfing, or my dirty house... I'll try to post more next week.

A Day at the Lake

Dad took the girls to the lake with our good friends the Lee's. They had such a great time and I was so proud of them. Katie got on the ski trainer and got stung by a bee. Maddi was a little to shy of the ski trainer but had a great time swimming. Thank you guys for such a fun day and taking great pictures!

Katie on the Ski trainer

RATTLESNAKE LAKE What the heck is a rattlesnake doing in the lake?? Mom was definitely not happy to see this video. And my children were swimming in it.
